MASSACRE OF CIVILIANS IN KORISA, MAY 15 1999

The village of Korisa, some five kilometers north of Prizren, on the road to Suva Reka, will forever be remembered as the site of yet another mass murder of civilians in the bloody war NATO is conducting against the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. The latest crime that NATO officials are trying to conceal and add to the list of "collateral damages", involved the death of at least 79 ethnic Albanians - women children and elderly - and the raid in which eight loads of cluster bombs were used dozens of people have been lightly and severely wounded.

According to the eyewitnesses, body parts of the wretched people were flying all around. According to the first information, more than 50 people were killed, and more than 50 were gravely wounded. During the day, NATO was also assaulting the rescue teams that were coming to aid the people. Also, the investigation teams that were coming to exert the insight and estimate the number of the casualties were restrained by constant and repeated bombing of NATO aircrafts.

During the attack, more than 20 tractors which were carrying the refugees during the previous day were destroyed. A couple of hours after the massacre, many international news agencies` reporters got on the terrain, so the pictures of the terrain with the tractors on fire were published during the day..
